Job location: Delta, British Columbia, Canada
Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science/engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields. 

• Minimum 10 years industrial experience in membranes evaluation/development and electrochemical engineering. Proven ability to plan and execute complex research and development projects.  

• Hands on experience in the ion exchange membranes testing, developing, analysis, and electrochemical characterizations. 

• Strong data analysis skills are essential. The candidate is expected to be proficient in developing a data-driven research program, using modern software tools to interpret and analyze large datasets in their experimental work. Demonstrable experience with python and numpy or pandas is an asset. 

• Apply statistical design of experiments to efficiently use resources and improve data quality. Analyse results using rigorous statistical analysis. 

• Experience in the materials characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, EDX, AFM, FTIR, …).  

• Experienced on identifying membranes and electrode failure mechanisms in electrochemical processes.
