Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher – Membrane Product Development
Hiring Company:  Membrion invites applicant for the position of postdoctoral researcher in membrane product development. This individual will serve as the primary scientist responsible for membrane synthesis for a funded fuel cell membrane development grant. This role is focused on advancing Membrion’s next-generation electrochemical membrane technologies to meet high-performance, durability, and scalability targets under fuel cell-relevant conditions.

Job location: Seattle, US
Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in membrane development or fuel cell performance testing.
• Experience setting up and operating custom electrochemical test stands or humidity-controlled systems
• Expertise in electrochemical systems, with preference for candidates with fuel cell or electrolyzer experience.
• Strong hands-on laboratory experience in synthesis, processing, and characterization of functional materials, especially ion exchange membranes.
• Familiarity with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, conductivity measurements, and electrochemical analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret complex results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting technical reports.
