Job Title: Post-Doctoral Researcher Opportunity: Green Hydrogen Production
The Department of Process Engineering, National University of Science & Technology, Oman, is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position under the Process Design and Computational Engineering Research group. The candidate will work on process modeling and experimental studies of green hydrogen production.
Responsibilities:
Conduct process simulations to model and analyse hydrogen production processes using membrane electrolysers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate simulation results into experimental efforts. Evaluate and optimize the performance of membrane electrolysers under various operating conditions. Contribute to the development of novel approaches for enhancing hydrogen production efficiency.
Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Process/Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in numerical simulation and modeling, with expertise in relevant process simulation software.
• Experience in proton exchange membrane electrolysis, hydrogen production, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in software tools commonly used for process simulation (e.g. COMSOL, Aspen Plus, ANSYS CFD, MATLAB/Simulink, Open FOAM, Autodesk Simulation CFD)
• Familiarity with experimental techniques related to hydrogen production.
• Knowledge of proton exchange membrane and electrochemical engineering principles.
