Job Title: Post-Doc Research Associate
Hiring Company: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) seeks a postdoctoral research associate to join their interdisciplinary team seeking to develop next generation dialysis systems. The successful candidate will perform research on the materials characterization and testing of membranes for dialysis, including development, fabrication, and optimization of dialysis testing systems. The postdoctoral researcher will work under the guidance of Professors Theo Dingemans (polymer chemist, Applied Physical Sciences), Orlando Coronell (membrane engineer, Environmental Sciences and Engineering), and Prabir Roy-Chaudhury (Nephrologist, School of Medicine).

Job location: North Carolina, US
Requirements:

• Ph.D. in biomedical, applied physics, materials science, or a closely related field
• Strong Biomedical background is preferred.
• Experience with membrane technologies, broadly speaking, or testing of other separation technologies of materials is preferred.
• An established record of research productivity is desired.
  
• Experience in the development and/or synthesis of novel membranes will be seen favorably.
