Job Title: PhD position: Enabling Membrane-Based Industrial Effluent Reuse using Model Predictive Control
Hiring Company: The department of Membrane Science and Technology (MST), often referred to as Twente Membranes, consists of several research groups focusing on the development of new membrane materials and modules, membrane characterization, transport phenomena near membrane surfaces and the development of membrane processes and applications. Learn more about the company here Job location: Twente, Netherland Requirements: • You have a Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably with distinction, in Chemical Engineering, (Bio)Process Technology, or a closely related discipline. You are motivated and enthusiastic about working on an industrially relevant design project. • You are experienced and interested in interfacial science and connecting experimental results to theoretical models/simulations. • Preferably you have experience with or have a demonstrated interest in (pressure-driven) membrane processes, transport phenomena, and chemical process engineering in general. • You are enthusiastic about contributing to teaching within the Chemical Science and Engineering education program in various courses taught by our department. • You have the ability to work independently and as a member of a larger team, while demonstrating a collaborative attitude. • You are able to review and engage with interdisciplinary studies and are driven by curiosity. • You have an analytical mind-set, and possess excellent communication skills, written as well as spoken.
