Job Title: Head of Engineering
Hiring Company:  BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading carbon capture company seeking to hire a Head of Engineering to join their German office. They are seeking a well-rounded individual to help them achieve their goal of capture 1,000 gigatons of CO2 by 2030. This role will assist with their next steps in realization of the first prototype plant.

Job location: Berlin, Europe, Germany
Requirements:

• Degree as an engineer with professional experience, preferably in management or project management functions in the field of engineering, product development or processing for complex process plants
• You have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a related discipline and a good commercial understanding.
• You have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of process engineering and experience with process simulation programs (e.g. Aspen HYSYS)
• In-depth knowledge of membrane technology, especially graphene membranes, mass production techniques and quality assurance would be very advantageous
• You are creative, reliable, willing to perform and have a structured working style.
• You are determined, analytical, strategically strong and a good negotiator with an entrepreneurial mindset
• You are fluent in English and German.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design and drawing, as well as Python or similar programming skills, are an advantage; proficiency in MS Office is required
