Requirements:

• Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a closely related field or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with analytical characterization techniques (both spectroscopic and microscopic), e.g., UV-Visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), optical profilometry, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD),. The ability to analyse complex data.
• Experience of working with and evaluating the performance of ultrafiltration/nanofiltration membranes.
• Experience in surface modification and functionalization of materials, with a focus on functionalization of nanomaterials, is preferred.
• Synthesis of ultra/nanofiltration membranes, in polymeric form or as a 2D material membrane.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics, in the context of a membrane system.
• Characterization of 2D materials and characterization of nanofiltration/ultrafiltration membranes (polymer and/or ceramic).
