Hiring Company:  The School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health at KTH invite applications for a two-year Postdoc position on adaptive separation in macroporous cellulose-based monoliths. The project aims to address challenges in biopharma separation related to large particles, such as lipid nanoparticles. You will work on designing materials with and without electrochemical control over pore-wall properties, develop methods to host these materials in chromatographic columns, and test them using model systems as well as relevant particle samples.

Requirements:
  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Proficiency in English, since it is an international research environment.

  • Previous experience with membrane or chromatographic separation technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with unit operations: preparation/dispersion, functionalization reactors (batch/continuous), washing/neutralization, solid-liquid separation (filtration/centrifugation), drying, coating/casting, and web handling.
  • Quality tools: DoE, SPC, MSA, process capability Cp/Cpk; ability to read P&ID, basic utilities knowledge (HVAC, extraction, solvents), and process FMEA.
